  • Areca Palm, otherwise known as Dypsis lutescens, or golden cane palm, is one of the best indoor plants. It is easy to care for, non-toxic, and has an air-purifying and toxic-removing effect, contributing to a healthier environment, which aligns with feng shui principles that emphasize balance and well-being.

Native to the islands of Madagascar, Areca Palm has silver-green trunks and clusters of arching fronds with narrow and thin leaflets, which make it look similar to a bamboo tree. This plant can grow in height up to 30 feet outdoors and 8 feet indoors.

During late spring and early summer, Areca Palm blooms small yellow flowers. There are both male and female flowers on the same inflorescence, which developed into yellow-orange small fruits. Areca Palm's fruits are not edible.

  • Areca palm loves bright indirect light and can tolerate partial shade. Direct sunlight might burn its leaves, so when growing indoors, keep it a few feet away from a sunny window.

Water only when the first 2” of the top soil is dry. Areca Palm loves moist but not soggy soil, so drain well after each watering. Over-watering can cause root rot, while under-watering can make the leaves brown and crispy.

This plant needs well-drained soils that are rich in nutrients. It is best to choose a houseplant mixed soil with peat moss.

This plant thrives in temperatures of 65°F-80°F. Do not let it in a spot where the temperature can drop below 50°F.

This plant requires rich soil, so it should be fertilized once per month during the growing season (spring/summer) with a diluted houseplant fertilizer. Alternatively you can use a slow-release fertilizer twice per year.

Areca Palm is considered non-toxic and safe for pets.

Disappointed
Color: S6-muti-color
These were great for about 20 minutes then they stopped squeaking...we have 2 left that I have saved but the other 4 do not squeak anymore...disappointed as my dog loves to squeak things...would not buy these again...My dog is only an 8lb dog too...but he can still play with the balls without the squeak...

Great Value for a ball my dog loves!
Color: S6-muti-color
I wish these ball were in the subscription program! My dog gets sooo excited by the new ball, but her interest in things lasts for a few days. She kills the squeak within 11minutes, but the squeaker stays in place rather than becoming a chocking or swallow hazard, and she still loves to chew it. Next, we must throw the ball approximately 723 times the first day, possibly 496 times on day 2, and just 3- 4 on day 3, at which point she will chase the ball before hollering "it's over here if you need it," while she checks on the chipmunk den. We currently have 17 of these balls in our yard (because we have given several leftovers to a less discriminating doodle next door). These balls hold up really well, get her extremely active for the first couple of days, and are a much cheaper than doggie daycare (after an active morning with a new ball, she is happy to chew on it and sleep much of the day). I always have these on hand!

Pieces chewed off
Color: white & green
My Aussiedoodle loves it. I throw it down the hallway, it bounces crazy, and he chases it. The only complaint is that he can't chew much of the ball part. So now I have to have it put away and brought out for special playtime.

Solid interactive automatic vibrating dog ball toy
Color: Blue, Color: Blue
Picked up this ITEHZTO interactive automatic vibrating dog ball for our pup and it’s a fun, engaging toy that keeps her entertained. It’s rechargeable with USB, motion-activated, and has a good vibrating/rolling action that gets her chasing and playing on her own. The durable build seems like it can handle some rough play, and it’s a nice size for indoor or outdoor use. It lights up or vibrates when activated which adds extra excitement, especially during evening playtime. Battery life is decent and recharges quickly. Great for when she needs mental and physical stimulation without me having to throw a ball constantly. Overall a solid interactive dog toy that does a great job keeping active dogs busy. Good value if your dog loves chasing moving/vibrating toys!

Built-in USB-C solves the power issue, but it is strictly for moderate chewers
Color: Blue
Got this to keep the high-energy puppy occupied indoors so the older dogs can actually get some peace and quiet. The main issue with most automated electronic pet toys is that they rely on expensive, hard-to-find button cell batteries that die after a single afternoon of use. This unit utilizes a built-in 300mAh battery with a standard Type-C charging interface. That is a mandatory design feature if you actually want to run the toy daily without going broke replacing power cells. The internal motor generates enough erratic movement to keep a dog's attention, and it actually has the torque to navigate over standard tile, hardwood, and light carpets without instantly stalling out in a corner. You need to completely understand the physical limitations of what you are unboxing here. The listing explicitly states this is not for heavy chewers, and you need to take that warning seriously. The outer shell is TPU, but the internal chassis housing the electronics is hard ABS plastic. If you hand this to an 80-pound working dog that aggressively shreds thick bones, they are going to crush the housing and destroy the internal motor assembly in about ten minutes. At roughly 2.5 inches in diameter, it's basically the size of a standard tennis ball. If you use it as intended—as an interactive chasing toy for a puppy or a moderate chewer rather than a heavy-duty chew toy—it functions perfectly. It is a highly practical piece of indoor enrichment gear. Solid return on investment for burning off excess canine energy.
