Sedum pachyphyllum 'Silver Jelly Bean' is a charming succulent known for its unique foliage and silvery hue. This low-growing, clustering succulent is native to Mexico and is a popular choice for rock gardens, containers, and succulent arrangements.

Key Characteristics:

  • Jelly Bean-Shaped Leaves: The most distinctive feature is its plump, cylindrical leaves that resemble jelly beans. These leaves are coated in a silvery-blue farina (a powdery coating) that gives them a frosted appearance.
  • Color-Changing Leaves: The leaves can change color depending on sunlight exposure and temperature. In full sun and cooler temperatures, they can develop a beautiful pink or orange blush at the tips.
  • Compact Growth Habit: 'Silver Jelly Bean' has a compact growth habit, forming tight clusters of rosettes that hug the ground. This makes it an excellent choice for small spaces or adding texture to mixed succulent plantings.
  • Yellow Star-Shaped Flowers: In spring, this sedum produces clusters of small, star-shaped yellow flowers that add a cheerful touch of contrast to the foliage.
  • Drought Tolerance: Like other sedums, 'Silver Jelly Bean' is incredibly drought-tolerant, making it well-suited for arid climates and xeriscaping.

Care Tips:

  • Light: Plant in full sun to partial shade. Full sun will intensify the silvery-blue color and encourage blushing of the leaf tips.
  • Watering: Water moderately during the growing season, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Reduce watering in winter.
  • Soil: Plant in well-draining soil, such as a sandy or gravelly mix specifically formulated for succulents.

The first three photos serves a display purpose only. The succulent plant housed in the red pot comes in a 80mm diameter container. While the image provides a representative depiction of what you will receive, but may vary slightly because no two succulents are the same.

Only Sublimation Ink for Me!!
I recently bought my second set of Hippo Sublimation Ink and continue to be thrilled with the results. This ink has proven to be a fantastic choice for my sublimation projects, delivering on all fronts. Hippo Sublimation Ink works exactly as promised. It sublimates effortlessly onto poly blend items, producing bright, vivid transfers every time. The colors are striking and true to the design, which is crucial for quality sublimation work. The results are consistently impressive, making this ink a reliable option for any project. One of the standout features is the great price. Hippo Sublimation Ink offers excellent value for money compared to other brands. Despite its affordability, it performs just as well—if not better—than more expensive options on the market. Using Hippo Ink in my Epson printer has been a breeze. The ink flows smoothly and doesn’t clog the printer, even after not being used for two weeks!!! I’ve had issues with other brands clogging my printer, leading to frustration and wasted time, not to mention all the maintenance puts wear and tear on the printer. With Hippo, there’s been no such problem, making it a hassle-free choice for sublimation printing. Hippo Sublimation Ink has exceeded my expectations in terms of performance, price, and ease of use. It’s the only ink I will use in my printer from now on. If you’re looking for a high-quality sublimation ink that’s both affordable and reliable, Hippo is an excellent choice. It delivers bright, beautiful transfers and maintains smooth operation without any of the typical issues associated with other brands. Highly recommended!

Great for Sublimation!
I’m a bit new to sublimation and was worried about having dull colors, but this ink is doing wonders! The quality is great, I can adjust the amount on the printer and get the exact, rich, vibrant colors I want. (I found some recommended settings for brightness, contrast, etc… and then tweak the cyan, magenta, and yellow to the desired amount.) I definitely recommend getting this ink! It’s so easy to refill the printer (I have an Eco tank 15000). The cost is not bad at all. I’ve only washed some of the items one time and so far the ink has remained unchanged. Seems like a winner to me!

Vibrant colors, great traction on fabric, and easy cleanup
This sublimation ink has been a great find. The colors are vibrant and transfer beautifully to fabrics, mugs, and phone cases. The traction on the material is excellent—designs don’t smudge or fade easily after pressing. I also appreciate how clean it is to work with. Refilling my Epson EcoTank printer was simple, and there were no messy drips or stains. Cleanup of tools and surfaces was quick with just a damp cloth. For beginners or experienced crafters, this ink delivers consistent, professional-looking results every time.
