Description

Sr Item name
1 Rhoeo Plant, Rhoeo discolour (Tricolor, Variegated) - Plant
2 4 inch Pot (Black)

Rhoeo spathacea is the synonym of Tradescantia spathacea. Moses in the Cradle is a rather succulent herb with a dense cluster of sturdy sword-shaped leaves arising from a trunklike stem. The leaves are a dark teal-tinged forest green on top and vivid violet underneath.

The small white three-petaled flowers are hidden in boat-shaped purple bracts nestled in the leaf axils. Flowers and seeds are produced all year. Probably, the boat-shaped bracts with a small white flower in the middle look like an eye.

Planting And Care

  • Water the tricolour rhoeo once per week. Water slowly and deeply down through the roots.
  • In the first growing season, it is especially important to maintain a consistent watering schedule to ensure a strong, healthy root system.
  • Proper drainage facilities should be provided to the plant otherwise the roots rot.
  • It needs well-drained soil rich in organic matter.
  • It grows best in full-to-partial sunlight, though it also flourishes under bright interior lights.

  • Rhoeo Plant Care

Rhoeo spathacea can be propagated by seeds, cuttings, or division. In most areas, Rhoeo is considered an annual, though, in fact, it is a tender perennial. This means that it can only tolerate temperatures down to about -6 degrees Celsius before they are killed off. Keep in mind that this is the temperature that will kill them. Overwatering should be prevented when only when the soil feels dry to touch.

Proper drainage facilities should be provided to the plant otherwise the roots rot.

Great for SuperChewers. Keeps my Golden busy.

My dog loves it and it keeps her busy for a while. She actually pulls it out of her toy basket and brings it to me when she wants it filled. I break her treats into some pieces that are easy to get and some a little harder. This way she doesn’t get them too fast or loose interest if they’re harder to get. Also, she’s had it for 3 months and there’s barely a mark on it and she’s still a puppy that chews her toys to pieces.

    Mostly happy
    Color: Grape
Have a 1 1/2 yr old Belgian Malinois who needs things to do. I bought these and he loved it. Bad thing, it took him 1 day to chew the rope off both grape and pineapple. The stems on the cherry were also chewed off. The rest of the toy is intact and he still loves it.

    Came apart.
    Color: Cherries
We were playing with it and the green part pulled off of the red part. I'm pretty sure that is not supposed to happen. I took the green part away from the dog because that part is too small for my pup to play with. But we continue to play with the red part. My dog likes the texture and the bounciness.
