Originating possibly from the Netherlands and widely distributed from Asia, 'Medusa' shares similarities with both Aeonium 'Mardi Gras' and 'Velour' in its rosette formation and overall structure.

The plant grows up to 60 cm tall and 90 cm wide, producing dense clumps of offsets that enhance its visual appeal. During the cooler months, particularly in autumn and winter, the creamy outer bands of the leaves become more pronounced, contrasting beautifully with its darker mid leaf.
