**Philodendron Goeldii - Short Description and Care Guide**

### **Short Description**:
**Philodendron Goeldii** is an intriguing and rare variety of Philodendron known for its striking, narrow, deeply lobed leaves that give it a unique and architectural appearance. The leaves are dark green and glossy, with elongated, almost fern-like edges that create a dynamic, tropical look. Native to South America, **Philodendron Goeldii** is an easy-to-care-for plant that thrives indoors with minimal attention, making it a perfect choice for plant enthusiasts of all levels. It’s a slow-growing vine that can be trained to climb or allowed to trail, adding a distinctive flair to any space.

### **Care Instructions**:

#### **Light**:
- **Ideal**: Bright, indirect light.
- **Avoid**: Direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves and cause them to turn yellow or brown. While Philodendron Goeldii can tolerate lower light conditions, it will grow more slowly and may lose some of its lush appearance in dimmer settings.
- **Tip**: For optimal growth and leaf coloration, place your Philodendron Goeldii near a window with filtered light. Too little light can lead to leggy growth and diminished leaf form.

#### **Watering**:
- **Frequency**: Water when the top 1-2 inches of soil feel dry. This plant prefers to dry out a little between waterings, and overwatering can lead to root rot. Ensure the soil is well-draining to allow for proper root health.
- **Tip**: Be cautious not to let the plant sit in water. If unsure, it’s always better to slightly underwater than overwater. Reduce watering during the winter months when the plant's growth naturally slows down.

#### **Humidity**:
- **Moderate to High Humidity**: **Philodendron Goeldii** thrives in moderate to high humidity (50-60%). Higher humidity helps the plant grow more vigorously and prevents issues like brown leaf tips or edges.
- **Tip**: If you live in a dry climate or have low indoor humidity, consider misting the plant occasionally, placing it on a humidity tray, or using a humidifier to increase moisture around the plant.

#### **Temperature**:
- **Ideal Range**: Between 65-85°F (18-29°C).
- **Avoid**: Temperatures below 50°F (10°C) can cause the plant stress. Cold drafts and sudden temperature fluctuations should also be avoided.
- **Tip**: Like most tropical plants, **Philodendron Goeldii** does well in typical indoor temperatures, making it suitable for most home and office environments.

#### **Soil**:
- Well-draining, slightly acidic to neutral potting soil is ideal. A standard indoor houseplant mix with added perlite or orchid bark works well to provide aeration and prevent the soil from becoming too compacted.
- **Tip**: Ensure that the pot has drainage holes to prevent water from accumulating at the bottom, which can lead to root rot. A good mix allows the roots to breathe and avoid sogginess.

#### **Fertilizing**:
- **Frequency**: Feed once a month during the growing season (spring and summer) with a diluted, balanced liquid fertilizer. During the fall and winter, reduce fertilizing as the plant’s growth slows down.
- **Tip**: Avoid over-fertilizing, as this can lead to leggy growth and weaken the plant. A light, diluted feeding will encourage steady, healthy growth.

#### **Repotting**:
- Repot every 1-2 years or when the plant becomes root-bound. Choose a pot that is just slightly larger than the current one to allow room for root expansion without excess moisture retention.
- **Tip**: When repotting, check the roots for any signs of rot and refresh the soil to ensure proper drainage and aeration. This is a great time to trim back any damaged or overly long roots.

#### **Pruning**:
- Pruning is optional, but you can trim any leggy or unwanted vines to encourage bushier growth. **Philodendron Goeldii** can be trained to climb a trellis or allowed to trail, making it versatile in terms of how it’s shaped.
- **Tip**: You can propagate **Philodendron Goeldii** by cutting healthy stems and rooting them in water or soil. This is a simple way to expand your collection or share the plant with friends.

#### **Common Problems**:
- **Yellowing Leaves**: This is often caused by overwatering, poor drainage, or too much direct sunlight. Allow the top of the soil to dry out between waterings and keep the plant in bright, indirect light.
- **Brown Leaf Tips**: Brown tips or edges usually result from underwatering, low humidity, or drafts. Increase humidity and keep the plant in a stable, warm environment to prevent this issue.
- **Leggy Growth**: If the plant becomes leggy, it may not be receiving enough light. Move it to a brighter location or provide supplemental light to encourage denser, more compact growth.

---

**Philodendron Goeldii** is a striking and relatively low-maintenance plant with its unique, deeply lobed leaves. Its slow-growing, vine-like nature makes it a great choice for various indoor settings, whether as a climbing plant or a trailing accent in a hanging basket or pot. With its minimal care needs and ability to adapt to different environments, **Philodendron Goeldii** is an excellent choice for both beginner and seasoned plant enthusiasts. With proper light, watering, and humidity, this tropical beauty will thrive and become a focal point in any room.

not bad
Format: Kindle
I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Good start to a series
Format: Kindle
I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5
