Tillandsia 'Rex' is a true masterpiece of hybridization, earning its place as one of the most prized airplants in cultivation. This exceptional plant boasts long, twisting leaves that emerge from a bulbous base in shades of green, gradually transitioning to vibrant shades of red towards the tips. The overall form is reminiscent of an exotic, otherworldly sculpture, living up to its 'Rex' (King) moniker.

What makes 'Rex' truly special is its complex lineage. It's a second-generation hybrid, a rarity in the world of Tillandsias. Its parents, T. 'Showtime' and T.
