- The areca palm, otherwise known as butterfly palm, golden cane palm, bamboo palm, or its Latin name, Dypsis lutescens, is a native of Madagascar.
- These plants can survive year-round outdoors in USDA zones 10 to 11, where the winter lows stay above freezing. Outdoors they may get 12 to 30 feet (4 to 9 meters) tall.
- Plant in a well-draining potting soil, in a pot with drainage holes. Allow the top of the soil to dry out between waterings, and water less often during the winter months.

Great summer workbook
Format: Paperback
This book is a great tool to use over summer break to prevent loss of learning. I have been using this book with my 2nd grader for a few weeks and he enjoys the short lessons. I would prefer the lessons have a few more questions to cover each lesson.
