Sansevierias are native to West Africa and commonly known as snake plant or mother-in-law's tongue, is one of the most low maintenance plants you'll find. They can stand a wide range of temperatures and light conditions, and, if necessary, can be left to fend for themselves for several weeks at a time. How to care for your Snake Plant -

Water:  Water every two/three weeks, allowing the soil to dry between watering, and take care to not over water as this may cause the plant to rot.

Light: Sanseveria likes indirect sunlight, but will tolerate low and high light conditions.

Humidity: Regular humidity conditions are sufficient. 

Temperature: Can withstand colder conditions.
