GENERAL CARE

Since they grow in swamps, these trees prefer a well-draining (peat/sand) soil and bright, indirect light. Water when the soil begins to feel dry, allowing a brief “dry period” between watering to allow roots to breathe. Due to the variegation, this plant will need bright, indirect light. Avoid direct light as it may burn the leaves. Avoid drafty windows, heater vents, and hot dry air.

They prefer high humidity, so would do wonderfully in a well-lit bathroom, kitchen, or among other plant friends.
