The overlapping scales which cover the steams and leaves absorb water when they are wet (rain or fog). In autumn they produce erect spikes with one to seven funnel-shaped, long flowers with pale blue or violet petals and gray-scaly bracts at their bases.
  
  All of the plants will be shipped bare root.
• Tillandsia Recurvata does well indoors but likes bright, indirect light.
  
  No soil is needed. Sand, sea glass, rocks, pebbles & bark chips can be used instead of soil.
  
  Soak twice a week in a bowl of water for 10 minutes each time. You can also mist your plant with a spray bottle 3-4 times a week if it needs more water between the soakings.
