Description:
Rocky Mountain Grass Seed is a premium cool-season grass seed mixture specially formulated for the high altitudes of the Rocky Mountain states, including Colorado, Montana, Utah, and Wyoming. This versatile Colorado grass seed contains an expert mixture of Black Beauty turf-type tall fescues, Blue Panther Kentucky bluegrass, and elite perennial ryegrass.
This seed grows exceptionally well in cool and semi-arid climates. With roots that can grow up to 4 feet deep and a waxy leaf coating (like the skin on an apple), Black Beauty Rocky Mountain preserves moisture and limits evaporation. It also withstands heavy traffic and naturally resists insects and diseases. It is ideal for lawns in full sun to partial shade with five or more hours of sun.
How much seed to use?
- 3 lb Bag: Covers up to 1,500 sq ft for overseeding or up to 750 sq ft for new lawns
- 7 lb Bag: Covers up to 3,500 sq ft for overseeding or up to 1,750 sq ft for new lawns
