Origin & Breeding
The Yellow Scorpion Butch T is a color variant of the original Trinidad Scorpion Butch T, a pepper that once held the Guinness World Record for the world’s hottest chili. This yellow version was selectively bred to enhance its citrus-forward flavor and golden hue, while preserving the signature sting and heat that made the original famous. It produces smoother, slightly wrinkled pods with a tropical twist.

• • Germination & Growing

    • Start indoors (Nov–Jan) in nursery trays or 5×5×5 cm pots.

    • Use light, well-draining seed-starting soil.

    • Soil temp: 26–30 °C, Air temp: 22–28 °C, Humidity: >60%.

    • Use a humidity dome + heating mat.

    • Provide 12–16 hours of light daily.

    • Add airflow with a fan after germination.

Flavour Profile & Heat
The Yellow Scorpion Butch T has a fruity, citrusy, and slightly floral flavor, followed by a rapid, intense burn. While often slightly milder than the red type, it still reaches heat levels of 1,400,000 SHU or more, making it one of the hottest yellow peppers available.
