Coco Coir Fiber Bricks - Premium Growing Medium

Create the perfect growing environment for plants with these compressed coco coir fiber bricks. Made from natural coconut fiber, a sustainable byproduct of Sri Lanka's coconut industry, these bricks expand to provide excellent moisture retention and aeration for baskets, containers, seedlings, and hydroponics.

Key Features

  • 8:1 Compression Ratio - Each brick expands to 8 times its compressed size
  • Makes 2+ Gallons - Each 650g (1.4 lb) brick produces over 2 gallons of growing medium
  • Excellent Moisture Retention - Retains plenty of water while remaining porous
  • Superior Aeration - Porous structure allows excellent air circulation to roots
  • Sterile & Clean - Free from weeds, seeds, and plant pathogens
  • Promotes Healthy Roots - Ideal for seedlings, cuttings, and established plants
  • 100% Natural - Sustainable, biodegradable coconut fiber
  • Case of 24 - Bulk quantity for multiple projects or commercial use

Perfect For

  • Hanging Baskets: Excellent moisture retention for lush displays
  • Container Gardening: Ideal growing medium for pots and planters
  • Seed Starting: Promotes healthy root development in seedlings
  • Cuttings & Propagation: Sterile medium prevents disease
  • Hydroponics: Soilless growing systems
  • Potting Mix Amendment: Blend with other media to improve drainage and aeration
  • Orchids & Epiphytes: Excellent for tropical plants

Why Choose Coco Coir?

Coco coir fiber is a superior alternative to peat moss and traditional potting soils. Unlike peat, which is harvested from fragile bog ecosystems, coco coir is a renewable byproduct of coconut processing. The natural fiber structure provides optimal balance of water retention and drainage, creating ideal conditions for root growth.

How to Use

Step 1: Place one compressed brick in a bucket or container.

Step 2: Add approximately 1.2 gallons of lukewarm water.

Step 3: Allow 15-20 minutes for the brick to fully expand.

Step 4: Fluff the expanded coir and use immediately, or blend with other growing media.

Tip: Warm water speeds expansion. Rinse before use if desired to remove any excess salts.

Benefits for Plant Growth

  • Optimal Water-Air Balance: Retains moisture while preventing waterlogging
  • pH Neutral: Won't alter soil chemistry (pH 5.5-6.5)
  • Disease Prevention: Sterile medium reduces risk of soil-borne diseases
  • Root Development: Fibrous structure encourages strong, healthy root systems
  • Nutrient Retention: Holds nutrients for plant uptake
  • Reusable: Can be reused for multiple growing seasons with proper care

Sustainable & Eco-Friendly

Sourced from the coconut growing industry of Sri Lanka, coco coir is a completely natural, renewable resource. Unlike peat moss, which takes thousands of years to form, coconut fiber is a sustainable byproduct that would otherwise be discarded. The material is 100% biodegradable and can be composted after use.

Case of 24 Value

With 24 bricks per case, you have enough growing medium for:

  • 48+ gallons of expanded coir (over 2 gallons per brick)
  • Multiple hanging baskets and containers
  • Entire season's worth of seed starting
  • Commercial growing operations
  • Custom potting mix blends

Professional Quality

Trusted by commercial growers, nurseries, and hobbyists worldwide, coco coir provides consistent quality and performance. The compressed brick format makes storage and shipping economical while maintaining product freshness.

Blending Recommendations

Use coco coir straight or blend with:

  • Perlite or vermiculite for extra drainage
  • Compost for added nutrients
  • Worm castings for organic fertilization
  • Traditional potting soil to improve structure

Wonderful sock slippers
Size: 12-13, Color: Cable Knit Navy
These are wonderful sock slippers, They are very warm and well made. After reading reviews, I decided to order one size larger (10 to 11) and they are really comfortable big. However, I'm glad I did because they a lot easier to put on and take off. Highly recommended.

You get what you pay for
Size: 10-11, Color: Cable Knit Black
Comfy but cheaply made. I bought these for the price and expected them to be not the best quality but they are even less than I expected. Please also note that they run small. I got a 10-11 since I wear 11 shoe and Amazon recommended this size. I think a size larger would have been better. Not worth returning though. I’ll just wear them this winter if they last that long and get a better brand next time.

Quality and comfort
Size: 10.5-11.5 Women/9-10 Men, Color: Black
Comfortable and fit well. I got these to replace a very old pair that finally wore out! Warmth is medium (I wear puffer booties for when it's really cold). Quality on these is great!

Can't go wrong with Acorn for as long as they last!
Size: 12-13 Women/10.5-11.5 Men, Color: Charcoal
Acorn is just a great company all around. I had bought my husband these slippers over 20 years ago. They are still in great shape although the sole has worn in some places. But nothing's coming apart! However, I decided to replace them for him. His foot is 10.5 and they are a little hard to get on right away-of course, after over 20 years of having "worn in" the original pair, anything would feel tight. So I'm not holding this against them. They will relax with use. The only difference is that the original sole was black and these are tan. I think I would prefer the black, but since it's only being worn in the house, no big deal. My husband has really cold feet and these slippers never fail to warm his feet right up! He said they feel really soft to walk in and like the cushioning. They're not too heavy and fit him great! I have Acorn slippers myself that I've worn every single day in the house and outside to the mailbox too. They last.
