H Potter offers a variety of options for planters with trellis as well.

Does H Potter do custom work? 

Custom work is not available. Items are only available in the sizes, finishes and colors shown on our website.

Where are H Potter products made? 

H Potter items are manufactured at our partnered factory in India. Glass terrariums are handcrafted in India and China.

Does H Potter offer discounts? 

H Potter does not offer discounts, but we do offer fast, free shipping and exceptional customer service.

Can H Potter provide detailed information about warehouse deals? 

We do not have specific pictures or information regarding each individual warehouse deal item. Warehouse deals are typically customer returns or photo shoot items. We inspect items upon their return to make sure glass is not broken, items have not been used or major components are not missing, this said, items could have dents or dings, hardware may be missing, outer boxes may show wear and tear. It is not feasible to provide specific photos detailing the issues as each individual item would need its own sku identification.

Does H Potter ship outside of the United States? 

Currently, H Potter is not offering shipping outside the lower 48.

Does H Potter offer replacement parts? 

H Potter does not keep an inventory of replacement parts. If an item arrives and a small part is damaged, please contact us for solutions.

Does H Potter offer replacement glass? 

H Potter does offer replacement glass for lanterns and torches. Please contact H Potter via text at 208-640-4206 if replacement glass items are showing out of stock. When ordering replacement glass for lanterns please note the lantern SKU for which you are requesting the replacement glass

What is H Potter’s return policy? 

Customers are responsible for return shipping, here's our policy.

Materials & Care 

H Potter planters are made with stainless steel. To create the antique copper finish, first the planters are electroplated with a copper finish, next we apply a hand-rubbed antique finish and the final step is an application of a high grade clear-coat protective sealer. To add a bit of extra protection to the finish, you might choose to apply a coat or two of clear spray paint annually to the inside and outside of the planter. This can be purchased in a spray can at a hardware type store. You might also choose to apply this protective covering before first use.

Your water may contain minerals, chlorine and/or fluoride which may by unfriendly to the finish on the planter. H Potter planters are not designed to be used as fountains. Water spilling over the sides of the planter may affect the finish of the planter and/or may cause water stains or water spots. Additives in the soil used might also contain chemicals which when over-watered may spill over the sides and run down the planter potentially affecting the finish.  Water sitting in the drainage tray may also affect the finish of the tray.

We choose to clean our planters with a soft, non-abrasive cloth along with water and a small amount of mild dish soap.

If you are using the planter outdoors, you might consider inside storage during the winter based on the weather conditions in your area.

Timely, provocative, brilliant, painful, and, ultimately, a very necessary step toward authentic national healing and transformation. As a white, long-time fellow traveler, I am so grateful that Dr. Dyson has answered his calling to lead us toward redemptive justice with truth, decency and love--albeit, at times, necessary tough love. I am in my third read already and learning more and more each time. Dyson's sermon serves as an exceptional read for believer and non-believer alike as it offers a framework and lexicon for us to engage with one another as we work our way through ongoing racially turbulent and polarized times. I am not a critic by trade so I will leave the professional analysis to the experts. I am a K-12 educator and seeker of social justice. I found this work both accessible and challenging in the best of ways. In my daily work, the evidence of the invention of whiteness, white innocence and white fragility and their pernicious impacts are ubiquitously abundant such that Dyson’s claims simply cannot be denied. Dyson’s sermon is not always a comfortable read. That’s the point. It is a workout for the soul and psyche that results in the growing pains necessary for personal and collective liberation. Thank you, Rev. Dr. Michael Eric Dyson, for opening your head and heart so broadly and deeply there is room enough for all of us in this racial healing process. The writing of this book is the ultimate act of truth and forgiveness. This is a book that I challenge all my white friends to read, no matter where you stand on the spectrum of confronting white privilege and systemic racism. Michael Eric Dyson delivers a powerful, engaging, personal, informational, inspiring sermon that’s essential at this moment in time when racial division is especially high. I urge you to read with an open heart and mind, to set aside your discomfort and listen to Dyson’s plea for white Americans to reckon with the harsh truths of racism. Dyson is an ordained minister, so what better way to present this than as a sermon. He divides it into multiple sections: in “Hymns of Praise,” he cleverly shares hymns in the form of rap lyrics; in “Scripture Reading,” he quotes Martin Luther King Jr.; in the main sermon, he addresses whiteness specifically (including white innocence, white fragility, and white privilege) and then segues into a section about what it’s like to be black in America. Following that is “Benediction,” one of my favorite parts: in it he offers practical suggestions for what white people can do to make things better. The whole thing is incredibly current and topical, with commentary on Black Lives Matter, the recent election and Donald Trump’s rise to power. For white people who seek to understand more about racism and white privilege in America (and really, that should be all of us), this is the book to read. It was literally written for us.

Best book I’ve ever read

I had to read this book in grad school and it changed my life. I have recommended it countless times and given it as gifts to many family members. Dr. Dyson explains racial concepts in easy to hear language and specifically targets white folks. As a white person, I have learned so much from Dr. Dyson through this book. I believe every white person should read this book. I also had the privilege to hear Dr. Dyson speak at my university, and his spoken words and written words carry the same passion and energy. Truly this book is one of a kind. This book really is a sermon to white america, I doubt most people of color would gain as much from his words. Dr. Dyson uses mostly black and white language, and addresses issues about whiteness and how it permeates our society and upholds racism. Anyone could read and enjoy this book, but white folks (especially the white people who don’t think they’re racist) need to read it.

I highly recommend the Rev. Dr. Dyson's book, "Tears We Cannot Stop," for anyone who's looking for a social-justice and racial-justice read. Michael Eric Dyson's writing is as poetic as it is prophetic; he writes this book with the cadence and beauty of an inspiring, humbling, and deeply moving church sermon. He concludes this work with recommended readings and viewings for white allies in the antiracist fight, and calls for all white Americans to take meaningful action to fix what has been going on for too painfully long (hundreds of years). This book is not without some really hard, tough truths, and it is often painful to read, but in my opinion, if we're ever going to move forward as a nation, we white Americans need to confront our country's ugly history with racism and deal with our all-too-easy to sweep racial injustice under the rug due to our white privilege. A must-read for anyone who cares about racial injustice and who wants to take positive, concrete action to end it.
