Organic Orchid Potting Mix – All purpose potting material for all epiphytic orchid and bromeliad types.

Comes in a resealable bag for all your repotting needs. This orchid potting medium is made with charcoal, sponge rock/perlite, orchid Pine bark mix, Coconut husk coir chips to retain moisture and provide good aeration. The addition of Sphagnum Peat Moss will also help when growing all orchids including phalaenopsis orchid and moth orchid.

This specially formulated potting soil for orchids allows room for roots to expand within pot without compacting. This Orchid mix will not suffocate your orchid roots like other garden center orchid soil mixes. Orchids prefer room to grow, air circulation, and also allowing slight water retention to keep the roots hydrated in between watering.

Allows for proper aeration and drainage in the orchid’s container – no wet feet or root rot. Orchid growers everywhere have been loving this for their orchid care. The proper growing conditions are essential to keeping your orchid plants thriving. Water, nutrients, and sunlight are the top 3 factors in getting your orchid to thrive and re-bloom.

HOW TO REPOT AN ORCHID:

  • Choose a container, we recommend one with drainage holes (it not using a pot with drain holes: use a plastic pot inside the outer container)
  • Fill the container 3/4 full with the best Orchid Potting Mix — leave a small, crater-like hole for your plant
  • Carefully remove the orchid and place your type of orchid in the container, find the best position so roots can fit
  • Be sure not to damage the roots or stem, you can trim back dead roots if desired
  • Backfill the remaining container space with the Orchid growing medium
  • Spray with a spray bottle or place an ice cube on top of mix as a general rule
  • Water once a week
  • Use the potting media when repotting your orchid as well
  • Do not repot until the orchid finishes flowering

Is your orchid plant getting enough light? If not use grow lights to provide the proper growing conditions and produce those beautiful orchid blooms.

Use Orchid potting mix for other plants like african violets, tree fern, or tropical plants. You can also use the orchid bark as mulch for some plants. Do not use it for things like succulents that like dry soil conditions.

Will need to update after washing to see if that reduces the shedding. But it is beautiful and comfy. Is give it a 7 out of 10 for quality because of the shedding and the top and underneath pieces are only secured on the edges, which makes it move around and I have to grab the edges and shake to get its form back to normal. I would definitely purchase again. Especially if the shedding reduces it goes away after I run it through a wash cycle. I do NOT recommend drying in the dryer. It will mat I can almost guarantee that. Almost all blankets like these do if you dry them in a dryer with heat. Maybe no heat tumble might work, but NO heat.

You will not regret buying this blanket!

I was actually looking for a cotton blanket to add to my bed for fall and winter. Then I came across THIS one. It happens to be the exact shade of (“seaglass” or teal or aqua or whatever you choose to call it) blue green that I am currently redoing my bedroom in. It was a teense more than I’d planned to spend on this project. But I was in a splurgey mood so I went for it. I can honesty say that I’d happily pay twice as much. It’s much more beautiful and much more insanely soft than it looks in the pictures. It would make a great gift for yourself. Self care is important! Spoil yourself! You, at the very least, deserve a cozy cuddly blanket. I’m certain that this luxurious blanket will cure insomnia. Maybe even depression. I’ve owned it for like 2 hours and I have a whole new outlook on life! I feel pampered, spoiled, like queen of the world, maybe even like Cleopatra! Not this time! Nope! Best purchase ever! I know what I’m getting everyone for Christmas! Buy several for future use. This blanket has made me deliriously happy! Update: After owning this blanket for, like, a while, I still love it. Shockingly it washes up beautifully! A word of advice. Fabric softener is a big no no. It gets the fur gummy and feeling like unwashed hair after a month. I imagine. I’ve personally never gone with unwashed hair for more than a day or two. It is at its fluffy and soft best when you use one of those new Downey rinses instead. That seems to remove all residue and it comes out feeling even better than brand new. A word of warning. Do not picnic on this blanket. The fur will encase and preserve your crumbs better than Tupperware. You may find a lost treasure that you don’t actually want in there. Best used for sleeping only.

This blanket is wonderful. I'm not sure if it will last or wash well but it's amazing right now. I was looking for something that had a sort of aqua color that would go with my new sheets that are aqua but still blend with my comforter which has more blue tones in it. This worked great as far as the color. I took some pictures and my dog is in them because as soon as I put it on the bed she jumped up and was like "oh thanks Mom ...I love this" That is how soft and luxurious this feels. Others said theirs was shedding. I took mine out of the bag and shook and no shedding. I did have trouble getting it out of the plastic and cut a few pieces with the scissors but once I got it started I just pulled to rip the plastic. I took one pic so you could see the back. I would say it's like a fuzzy microfiber and the color is identical. It's just te right thickness. I love the design. It's warm to lay under but also has a warm look. It was a good value at just under $30. I know some people said it did not wash well but I'll be super careful when I wash it and even though it says hang dry I might tumble on a very low or cool dryer so that it does not mat. If it's a disaster I'll come back to report but prob wont wash it for a few months. Oh and no weird smells out of the bag so that was a plus for me since I have chemical sensitivities.
