Fairytrail Bride Cascade hydrangea is your chance to grow a legend! Originally introduced as Runaway Bride hydrangea at the Chelsea Flower Show in 2018 - where it earned the prestigious Plant of the Year award - this fabulous plant is finally available in North America under the name Fairytrail Bride. 

Fairytrail Bride is known as a Cascade Hydrangea, a totally new type of hydrangea with a horizontal habit. It forms big, lacecap bloom clusters along the entire length of those elegant long stems, creating a flower-festooned effect that's unlike anything else you've seen. It blooms for several weeks from late spring through summer for a long-standing display that will delight you year after year.

This hydrangea is not as hardy as other types of hydrangeas you may be familiar with. If you live in an area where you cannot successfully grow Fairytrail Bride Cascade Hydrangea outdoors, you can grow it in a large weatherproof pot and store it in a cool, bright spot over winter where it will be safely protected from prolonged or extreme cold.

Soil: Evenly moist but well-drained soils are best. A 2-3" layer of shredded bark mulch is recommended in all areas, all year round.
Pruning: Blooms on old and new wood; do not trim or cut back, but dead wood may be removed in early spring
Water: Average to high water needs. Like most hydrangeas, Cascade Hydrangeas cannot grow in wet soils. However, they can become drought-stressed readily and should be watered regularly. Plants in full sun and/or warmer climates will need more water than those in less sun and/or milder areas. 
Fertilizer: Fertilize once in early spring with a rose fertilizer if desired.
Bloom time: Spring
Bloom color: White. The flowers of Fairytrail Bride will not change to any other color, regardless of soil chemistry.
Uses: Makes a stunning specimen, low hedge, or edging plant. Can be grown in containers as well.
