The Red Star Dracaena is actually a cultivar of Cordyline australis 'Red Star' rather than a true Dracaena. This architectural plant is valued for its sword-shaped foliage that radiates in a dense rosette from a central stem. The leaves are a striking dark burgundy or bronze-red, providing year-round color and a strong vertical element to landscape designs and container arrangements. As the plant matures, it develops a palm-like trunk and can eventually branch to produce multiple heads of foliage. It is remarkably hardy and low-maintenance, showing good tolerance for drought, salt spray, and wind once established. In early summer, mature specimens may produce large, branched clusters of small, fragrant white flowers that attract pollinators like bees and butterflies.

Easy Read with good case studies!!
Format: Paperback
I had to purchase this for my Advanced Pathophysiology class in my Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program. It is very easy to understand and have pretty good case studies. I like that the CD that accompanies the book goes into some detail in explaining the cases further and the disease processes without giving you the answers to the questions. It stimulates one to think!! Once this class is over I will go back from time to time to review!!

Helpful
Format: Paperback
This is a nice compliment to other classroom instruction materials. I am teaching an advanced pathophysiology course in a nurse practitioner program. This book is very helpful for students to put together the concepts of patho with the clinical setting. Will use these for in-class group assignments. Case-studies are thorough and offer a variety of different disease processes to choose from. It certainly does not offer a case study for every possible disease or clinical scenario, but does cover most major areas and enough variety in my opinion. Should be helpful in reinforcing the clinical significance of some difficult to understand concepts. I would recommend this text to course instructors.

Good book!
Format: Paperback
Very helpful book for pathophysiology. The CD not only gives you answers to the case studies but gives you clear details of the clinical Pathophysiology of a particular disease. Definitely recommend it to students going for their Master's degree!
