Our Low Work and Water Dwarf Fescue Grass Seed Mix is the solution for a low-maintenance drought tolerant lawn. This is a cool season grass mix, featuring two dwarfed tall fescue grasses - Birmingham Tall Fescue and Memphis Tall Fescue, each developed to have a short habit.

These grasses were developed to quickly green up in spring, and they have exceptional disease and insect resistance. They were developed in hot climates, where they provide excellent density in summer and for keeping a dark green color. It has excellent resistance to diseases and pests. Fescue grasses have deep fibrous roots; this helps to increase its durability in high traffic areas. Dense, deep roots also create a drought tolerant lawn; Low Work and Water turf typically only needs about 4” of rain per month, requiring little additional irrigation, except during dry spells without summer rains. For a more manicured look, it can be cut once every four to six weeks to a height of 3" to 4". This grass mix can tolerate shade; in summer or anytime the average temperature is above 80°F, it should be kept at 3″ or taller to prevent the ends from rusting or burning.

This mix is suited for a wide range of the United States and is best for all but the hottest extremes (See recommended planting area map in product photos). Low Work and Water is best sown in March through early May, or late August through September. This grass grows best at and around 70°F.

Piece of Junk
Style: ET-5150, Set: ET PRO FAX/ADF/PRINT/COPY/SCAN
This printer worked fine until about a week ago. It jammed six paper jambs in a row, and then it did not recognize the 8.5x11 paper that I had been using from day one. The copy feeder on top of the printer quit, and when it did work, it fed the copy in almost sideways. I have a box of ink for this copier, and I would like to shove it back to the supplier for the wonder piece BS equipment. I have bought a black ink cartage for my nearly 8-year-old Brother Copier and my office is back in business. Epson ECOTANK Pro ET-5150 is not ready for prime time by a cartage machine.

Great printer, save money on ink; Most issues are very easy to fix
Style: ET-5150, Set: ET PRO FAX/ADF/PRINT/COPY/SCAN
I convinced my boss to buy my first 5150 about 3 years ago and our second one earlier this year. I am happy with my purchase. I have barely had to swap out the maintenance box, and they are cheap anyways. The print quality is quite good, just need to run some cleaning protocols to fix most of them. We did have to open up a printer for some deeper cleaning but there were videos online to fix it. The most common issue is paper jams, but I print a lot and its pretty rare if the paper isn't janky. You can also easily fix by pulling the printer forward and taking off a panel in the back to fish out paper.

Good value
Style: ET-5150, Set: ET PRO FAX/ADF/PRINT/COPY/SCAN
I think 3.5 would be about right. I had a Canon color laser printer that I loved! The problem was that after 6 years it started to need name brand toner at $45/each. I decided to co for something that would print cheaper, because it turns out I don't print as much as I used to, so having a commercial printer is no needed. I like the tanks a lot and they are super easy to fill. The first fill does not use a whole bottle, but then it settles and the next day you can top off the tanks with the rest of the bottle. The print quality is good. I have printed a few hundred pages and it is working as it should, and the tanks don't seem to have dropped but a touch. Much cheaper than toner for sure. The weird thing is that when you scan, it does not know that there is paper in the feeder, so you hear the flat bed scanner run first, and then the tray starts feeding. Also, it prints on both sides, but it does not scan both sides automatically with the feeder, you have to flip each sheet. This is a serious bummer for me as I do a lot of 2-sided scanner. So far so good. If things go south I will revise.

18 months and going strong

Edit 1/18/26: 2 years in, and I just topped off the ink. I used the extra bottle of black that came with it, and bought a set of color ink for the first time. Love it. Original: I’ve had this printer for 18 months and love it. I haven’t even had to refill the ink yet! I print a fair amount, not constantly, but I homeschool and print things for church and scouts also. I’m able to connect easily from my Windows laptop, Mac desktop, and iPhone. Automatic double sided printing is great. Color printing is good quality. Printing on card stock can get jammed, but there’s a rear bypass for that. It’s annoying that you have to do a single sheet at a time, but oh well. Copying and scanning is handy.
