🌶️ Chocolate Habanero Pepper Seeds – Rich, Smoky Heat with Deep “Chocolate” Color

The Chocolate Habanero Pepper (also known as Brown Congo, Chocolate Congo, Black Habanero, and Habanero Chocolate) is one of the most exotic and flavor-packed habanero varieties you can grow. Famous for its rich, smoky sweetness and striking dark-brown color, this pepper brings bold heat and gourmet depth to any kitchen.

These productive plants reach about 3 ft. tall and produce heavy yields of 3-inch-long pods that ripen from green to a deep, glossy chocolate brown. Their earthy, slightly fruity profile pairs perfectly with their medium-high habanero heat, typically landing in the 350,000–425,000 SHU range.

Expect a sweet, smoky, almost raisin-like flavor that makes Chocolate Habaneros a top choice for BBQ sauces, salsas, marinades, Caribbean recipes, and homemade hot sauces. If you love complex flavor as much as heat, this is the habanero you don’t want to miss. Love the heat? Browse our full Pepper Seed Collection for super-hots, exotics, and rare varieties.

🔥 Important Note on Germination:
Chocolate Habaneros can take a few weeks longer to germinate than other peppers. This is completely normal! Keep seeds warm (80–90°F), consistently moist, and be patient, the reward is worth the wait.

Durable, good value, clean, natural
Size: Small, Size: Small
I bought this coffee wood toy with the coconut rope for my heavy chewer (Jack Russell Terrier) a couple of years ago. I was pretty skeptical that it would last very long and be a toy that she would enjoy. This is one of her favorite toys, it's lasted for 2+ years, and it's not gross after so much use. This dog shredded everything in sight when she was a puppy, so it was important to find her lots of different hard toys. I bought another coffee wood toy with no rope, and she doesn't care for it as much. We might have to drill a hole and add a coconut rope when this one get's too small. I have not had an issue with the coconut fibers or wood pulp, though I'm sure she's ingesting some. I have had to take away many hard toys that she managed to chew off large bits or I felt like she was eating bits of plastic, but this one has been safe for her. She was already an adult dog when I got her this toy, so I cannot vouch for how it would work for a puppy, but I suspect that it would have been a toy that I would only let her have under supervision when she was a puppy. I like that it is made from natural materials.

Flimsy rope
Size: Large
This was definitely not sturdy enough for a large dog "up to 80 lbs" as stated. My 7 month old Shepherd puppy shredded the rope part in about 5 minutes. The chew stick is a hit but very small. Flimsy for the cost!

Fast Chew
Size: Medium
Didn’t last as long as I expected. My Frenchie chewed through it in record time. I will purchase another one to see if it’s the same as the one I received.

Great for chewers
Size: Large
I have bought these for the dogs (GSD/Husky/Golden) 4 mon-7yrs. All 4 dogs enjoy them and keeps the 2 puppies from chewing things they should not. Definitely worth the money for how long they have lasted as well. Have already ordered more.

Not as safe as it seems
Size: Xtra Large
I did like the look and sound of the all natural wood and coconut rope. However after 15 minutes of giving it to my dog there were rope fibers everywhere. Even though my research said coconut rope was ok for dogs in small amounts; my dog started throwing up. My cat also managed to get ahold of some of the strings and ended up choking. Even when I took the rope off and gave just the coffee wood stick; after just a few minutes of play my dog began coughing. This is just the experience that I had. All dogs are different. Just please don’t let your best friend play with it unsupervised
