Spathiphyllum 'Alana' is a fast‑growing, clump‑forming evergreen perennial peace lily hybrid valued for its glossy dark green lanceolate leaves and white flowers. It reaches about 0.5–1 m in height and 0.1–0.5 m spread, forming neat rosettes from a creeping stem.

Native to:
Native to the forest floors of Central and South America, where it grows in moist, shaded river valleys. Leaves emerge glossy and dark green, lanceolate in shape, forming compact clumps. Flowering spathes rise above the foliage in spring through autumn, scented and white to cream‑green

Water:
Keep the potting mix moist but never saturated; allow the top third of the potting mix to dry slightly between waterings. The plant will droop gently when thirsty and quickly recover after watering. Overwatering can cause root rot, so ensure the pot has good drainage and that excess water does not remain at the base.

Light:
Provide bright, filtered light, ideal is an east‑, north‑east‑ or north‑west‑facing window. Avoid direct sunlight, especially from south‑facing windows, which can scorch leaves. In lower light levels it will survive but may flower less.

Humidity:
Prefers moderate to high humidity. In a home setting, misting occasionally or positioning on a pebble tray of water helps. Bathrooms or kitchens offer ideal humidity. If humidity exceeds about 70 %, suggesting this cultivar might suit a terrarium setting—but because it can reach up to 1 m, terrariums are suitable only if space allows.

Temperature:
Thrive in typical indoor UK temperatures of roughly 15–27 °C. Avoid draughts and cold airflows; temperatures below around 10–13 °C can cause damage. Stay above 15 °C as a minimum for healthy growth

Thinner Than Chinet, Far More Expensive
Size: 12 PACK
These platters are about the same size and shape as Chinet platters and are reminiscent of them in construction and form. However, these plates are about half as thick as a Chinet and at $10 for just 12 plates, that makes them FAR more expensive than Chinet which a 30-pack of their platters can be had for less than $7. So no, I won't be getting any more of these much thinner, much more expensive plates when Chinet offers a product that's usually sturdier than you need for far less than these platters. If they were cheaper than Chinet by a fair amount I'd have given them 5 stars as they're thick enough for most uses and thumbs up for compostability, but I have to call out the overpriced nature of them.
