Description: The Oxeye Daisy is a wildflower native to Ireland. It has dainty white flowers with golden centres. It produces a lot of seed each year, which helps it to spread easily and cover bare ground. It can also spread by its roots. Daisies offer lots of pollen, making it very popular with bees! Seed Origin: Netherlands

Sowing: February to April. August to September.

Flowering: May to September

How To Grow Oxeye Daisy From Seed: To start the seeds indoors, use seedling modules or small pots. Sow a pinch of seed in each cell/pot. Cover the seed very lightly with compost. Keep the compost damp but not soggy throughout germination. Germination can take 2 to 4 weeks. When the seedlings emerge, thin to leave only the strongest one in each cell/pot. When the seedlings become established, plant them into larger pots. When frost risk has passed, transplant them to their final spot in the garden.

Oxeye Daisy seeds can also be planted directly outside in the garden when frost risk has passed in late Spring, or in Autumn. Autumn planted seeds will produce flowers in the following year. Spring planted seeds can sometimes also not produce flowers until the second year.

When the flowers are blooming, deadhead them to keep the plant producing more flowers.

Oxeye Daisy has a multitude of other common names, including: ox-eye daisy, dog daisy, field daisy, Marguerite, moon daisy, moon-penny, poor-land penny, poverty daisy, white daisy, bull daisy, button daisy, goldens, midsummer daisy, and moon flower. It's botanical name was also once Chrysanthemum leucanthemum.

This item is fantastic. We have two rottweilers and these two tou balls have stood the test of time. Weeks later and it STILL lights up! No other ball has survived our dogs. I highly recommend this item to anyone. Our dogs love the lights.

Great toy!
Size: Small Size
My Frenchie absolutely loves this toy!!! It keeps her occupied for a long time. Has held up well to her chewing, and she's able to pick it up and carry it.

Great toy for small dogs
Size: Small Size
Our dog, who weighs 13 lbs, loves this ball. I like the fact that there are no batteries involved. The furry exterior is great for her as she can pick the ball up with her small mouth. I'd recommend this toy be used under supervision as larger dogs and heavy chewers could tear it apart quickly.
