Planting the bulbs deeply at 8-9 inches deep helps anchor those long stems, but some staking may be necessary if they are not planted behind stronger shrubs that can help support their weight. Plant Orientpet Lilies in sunny soils with good fertility, and good drainage – they are intolerant of wet winter soils. Though their growing range is impressive (Zones 3-10), the bulbs often benefit from a mulch dressing at the end of the season in colder regions.
