Its morphological characteristics leaves are not curved, rounded leaf ends, length of about 0.6 inches, a bit like a grain of rice. A grain of surface amplitude basically no zigzag, leaf surface has a thin layer of white powder.

When watering, try not to water its leaves; instead, water on the soil directly. The leaves will not open in the shape of flowers, do not go to pick and pull the leaves. It's very easy to fall off. The leaves will grow into a long one, the leaves wrapped around the branches showing a kind of spiral growth.

Care Tips

Light: Donkey Tail likes light very much, except for the strong light in summer, you can let it enjoy the light, whether it is a full day exposure or half day exposure, it can grow well. If there is enough light to supply, its leaves will grow more dense and look more beautiful, on the contrary, if the light is not enough, it will make it easy to excessive growth of branches, this way the appearance does not look good.

Water: During the dormant period and winter days when the temperature is low, watering should be reduced, on the contrary, watering should be slightly increased in summer to cool them down and avoid watering in the strong light of noon. Watering should also be poured on the soil, try not to water its leaves, because the leaves have a thin white powder. The demand for water is not high. Usually you can wait until the soil starts to dry before watering some water, when watering should avoid the leaves, so that the leaves do not rot due to waterlogging for too long, pay attention to the bottom of the pot not to accumulate water.

Soil: A well-drained soil. If the soil is not well drained, the roots will not breathe well and will rot. Therefore, when choosing soil, you can use some peat soil and granular soil in the same amount of proportion to meet its soil requirements.

Potting: It is recommended to use ceramic pots, ceramic pots have a certain degree of permeability, clay pots lose water too fast, plastic pots retain water too strong, and poor permeability. Also they do best in hanging baskets.

Temperature: The optimum growth temperature is between 50-89°F (10-32℃), when the temperature is lower than 39°F (4℃) or higher than 91°F (33℃), they will enter dormancy and stop growing. if the temperature is as low as near 32°F (0℃), they will frostbite or freeze to death. So in winter, when the low temperature is below 41°F (5℃), it can be moved indoors to a sunny place to avoid the cold, and in summer, attention should be paid to air circulation.

Humidity: Donkey Tail grows well in average household humidity levels when grown indoors. Does not like too much humidity. Normal household humidity is good for this plant.

    Care Instructions

Please visit our Succulent Care info page for more details.

To ensure the health of succulents, it is important to plant them in porous, well-draining soil. Succulents require little watering, but don't like to sit in wet soil. To create an adequate cactus mix, simply add pumice, perlite, or grit to cactus soil to provide the proper drainage.

Make sure to leave drought periods between waterings to prevent the plant from water-logging.

Well designed portable water flosser that's holding up so far
There are a number of such portable water flossers on Amazon, but this is one of the better ones IMO. The water pressure is adequate, with enough settings to allow you to ramp up (or keep using on a lower setting if desired). One nice feature is that the tank detaches easily and this makes filling under a tap easier than other units which don't have an easily detached tank. The tank shape is also a bit fatter so it's not too long along any one dimension. The tank capacity of 300 ml is adequate for a single use. The standard suite of flosser heads are included - flossing itself, peridontal, and one for braces. The tongue cleaner attachment is also there but I prefer to use a separate tongue cleaner tool. Charging is via USB-C and while the port isn't super water proof, there's no damage to the unit yet. Battery life is typical at about 20-30 days with twice a day usage.

      Quit working in a month
Bought one. It quit working. They sent another… it never worked right before finally dying on me the same way. Looks like it’s not even an available product anymore. But if it ever does come back.. don’t buy it.

      Not what I expected!
I have never used a dental flosser before, and it showed by the mess I made haha. I can say, this isn't for me, but I can see the appeal. It is relatively lightweight and comes with a lot of different attachments. Loading it up with water is easy and doesn't take much effort. I would call this portable, even though it is a little big. I can only stand the "soft mode". If I choose any other, my mouth is overwhelmed. Overall, I would definitely recommend this if you have experience with dental flossers. It was hard to use at first but you get the hang of it.

Reasonable cost dental device (updated review)
I used this device for a few months to provide an accurate review. First off, it works. Fill the bottom end section with water, snap in a tip, switch on and go. Easy to use, and the instruction set is short and simple, the result of a thoughtful adoption process. Very reasonable cost. Several heads are provided for you to select. And there are three settings to use: soft, normal and pulse. I did not find any benefit to the pulse setting as it seemed to cycle the water pressure lower than to normal repeatedly. Several additional items worth mentioning: 1) The water pressure is modest. the lower pressure is made up for in more water delivery. 2) This device consumes water at a rapid pace. What this means is that you will need to either swallow or spill the water out of the side of your mouth at least twice during the 90 second cycle - while the unit is operating. Switch off during the cycle restarts the countdown. Water will accumulate rapidly in your mouth. You need to spill the accumulated water in your mouth with the unit on. If you remove it from your mouth you will have a mess around you. 3) The on-off switch is located on the handle toward the top. You will need to learn to not place your finger over the switch which abruptly shuts the device off. Conversely, if you like to swith off the device during the cycle to neatly spill accumulated water out of your mouth, you may find yourself attempting to find the switch push button without a tactile means of feeling for it. 4) The charge port has a small flexible grommet covering it, which might take a little while to find where it is located. 5) **This is my update from my original posting**: the duration of charge shortened over the last several weeks to the point where with the unit switched on, the lights are on, but the pump no longer works, meaning it died and has been trashed.

      Decent water flosser.
This water flosser is a handy way to clean your teeth, especially when you're on the go. It's cordless and rechargeable, and it comes with different tips for various needs. The water tank holds enough for a full cleaning, and it doesn't leak. It has multiple settings, from gentle to strong, to get your teeth feeling fresh. While the tips might not be the most durable, and attaching the top can be a bit tricky, it's a great tool for keeping your mouth clean and healthy. It's a good alternative to traditional flossing, helping to remove bits and keep your gums healthy.
