Story and Accolades

The Monster Series by Pete Johnson and Tatuaje is one of the most legendary limited-edition collections in the world of premium cigars. Each release pays tribute to a classic horror movie monster—and The Drac draws its inspiration, as the name implies, from Count Dracula.

Originally released in 2009 as the second cigar in the series (following The Frank), The Drac returned in 2021 as part of the Monster Mash and Redux releases, allowing a new generation of smokers to experience its haunting complexity. The Drac Redux retains the signature torpedo format, wrapped in a dark, menacing Ecuadorian Habano Maduro leaf over Nicaraguan binder and fillers—blended at the esteemed My Father Cigars S.A. factory in Estelí.

Fans of the original release will find the Redux to be a faithful revival: powerful yet refined, smoky and sweet, with a slow burn that delivers waves of evolving intensity. It has earned cult status among collectors and boutique cigar lovers.

Construction and Craftsmanship

The Torpedo vitola offers a concentrated draw and focused flavor delivery, heightening the richness of the blend. The wrapper is toothy and oily, exuding deep aromas of cocoa, spice, and barnyard earth. The construction is tight and even, allowing for a razor-sharp burn and ample smoke output.

From the first light, bold black pepper and charred wood greet the palate, followed by rich chocolate, espresso, and a savory leathery core. Hints of licorice and baking spice build in complexity through the second and final third, finishing with a dry, spicy crescendo.

Pairing Recommendations

Dark and mysterious, The Drac Redux pairs best with rich and equally brooding beverages:

  • Peated Scotch whisky – for a smoky, gothic pairing that enhances the cigar’s depth

  • Amarone or Zinfandel – full-bodied red wines that match its dark fruit and spice

  • French press coffee or Turkish brew – deep, unfiltered coffee brings out the earthy core

  • Spiced rum or Fernet – bold herbal and sweet elements align beautifully with the cigar’s complexity

Good purchase, dog loved it, lasted months
Size: 8 Inch, Color: Tree Branch
My dog loved it, took several months before she destroyed it. I did eventually have to throw it out because she managed to start breaking pieces off and eating it.

Dog Loves It, But Durability/Safety Major Issue
Size: 8 Inch, Color: Tree Branch
My 9 month old Frenchie loves it, but she got pretty sick this weekend and was vomiting all day...next day she finally threw up a big chunk of this toy...just beware if your dog is a heavy chewer, this may not be the right fit for you. Not the best durability...

She loves them, therefore I love them too
Size: 5.5 Inch, Color: Ring Toy
My furbaby LOVES these, especially the peanut butter flavored ones. I still regularly brush her teefers, but these do help with dental care.

Made mostly of POLYPROPYLENE PLASTIC and should not be injested.
Size: 8 Inch - 2 Pack, Color: Tree Branch
BAD PRODUCT. DO NOT BUY THESE FOR YOUR DOG. They are made mostly of POLYPROPYLENE PLASTIC. It even says on the package - "CAUTION: Product is not intended to be eaten or ingested. If you believe your pet has swallowed a piece, please take away and contact veterinarian if needed. Our dachshund went to town on one of these and had diarrhea for two days and cost us several hundred dollars in vet bills to do x-rays and medicine for the poor dog. What do you think a dog is going to do with a dog chew? Just find another product. This one isn't worth it.
