Imagine a car seat that grows with your child, a trusted companion on every journey your little one embarks upon - Meet the Veni Convertible Car Seat. Veni's timeless design and luxurious fabrics are matched with a commitment to safety that you can rely on.

When your baby finds their way into the world, Veni will be there. The car seat starts as a cozy haven, supporting your infant with a rear-facing position that can accommodate up to 50 lbs. As your child embarks on their toddler years, Veni seamlessly transitions into a forward-facing seat, supporting children up to 65 lbs. It's not just a car seat – it's a partner in your child's growth.

Underneath Veni's refined exterior, safety takes center stage. The car seat boasts a Mahogany Leatherette Accent on the Anti-Rebound Bar, perfectly combining aesthetics and security. The SecureLoc™ system tightens and cinches the seatbelt for you, while the open and accessible belt paths make installation a breeze.

Feel the outside world in your hands with the Seawool car seat cover, which feels just as soft and delicate as merino wool. It's gentle on sensitive skin and is made from recycled materials, including polyester and oyster shells. This insulating, moisture-wicking, and odor-resistant fabric is as kind to the planet as it is to your child.

Veni is not only a masterpiece of design but also an exemplar of convenience. The slim 17" design provides extra backseat space and ensures a comfortable ride for your child. Cleaning is a breeze with the machine-washable seat cover that maintains its appearance even after countless journeys.

The Veni car seat is designed with the aim of seamless adjusting. The headrest and harness can be adjusted into 14 different positions with just one hand. Plus, the anti-rebound bar and V-shaped top tether offer stability and minimize movement, while the steel frame provides an additional layer of security.

Veni's IsoEnergy™ Technology crumples on impact, helping to absorb crash energy. The 5-point harness, car seat shell, and foam padding work together to manage crash energy, minimizing the force transferred to your child. Veni is the car seat that puts your child's safety first, every step of the way.

And let's not forget the little extras. The first-class cup holders are not only durable but also dishwasher safe for easy cleanup. The magnetic harness storage keeps the harness out of the way while your child snuggles in and makes it accessible when it's time to buckle up. Add in the 6-position recline with indicator and petal-soft padding, and this is a car seat that has it all.

Travel with assurance, as the Veni car seat is certified for aircraft use when installed rear-facing. Veni is the car seat that steps ahead with your child, ready for every journey, every growth spurt, and every adventure. Choose Veni, choose safety, and choose comfort for your child's journey.

A concise, readable history of European developments prior to W.W. i.
Format: Paperback
This is part of a 4 volume series on (primarily) European history covering the development of the French and Industrial revolution(s) with particular emphasis on the Belle Epoque that marked the end of nearly 100 years of peace among the European Powers. It covers a variety of topics ranging from the emergence of the working classes; the role of the middle class; industrial capitalism; nationalism; the sciences and the arts; and, even a chapter on the "New Woman". Quite encompassing in its treatment and its analysis of the a period that serves as a background to the twentieth century.

This is a good book to read and understand how the European nations deployed their armies around the world to extract natural resources from other nations. Now, we have developing and underdeveloped nations.

Interesting book, dull period
Format: Paperback
As a Marxist historian, Hobsbawm sees the world at this time, as well as the modern world, as a playground for the forces of capitalism. He apologizes for taking a eurocentric approach to world history, while acknowledging that Europe largely determined the course of world events during this period. In spite of the title, there actually isn't much discussion of colonial empires; Hobsbawm seems more interested in how the Age of Empire affected the rulers more than the ruled. His Marxist sympathies are in evidence and at times make his conclusions a bit predictable, but some of his cultural critiques are quite brilliant. The chapter on the dilemmas posed by modern science is exceptional. Reading a book like this seems to me much more interesting than actually living in this period would have been.
