Does it need to be raised? It's a good idea to elevate your planter unless sitting on rocks or a slightly uneven surface that allows for drainage. You can use Pot Feet or the 5" SurfaceSAVER Rings to elevate your planter for proper drainage and prevent any damage to your deck, floors, or patio.
Can it be outside all year? Yes, make sure you have good drainage.
