  • Chamaedorea Elegans, Neanthe Bella Palm or Parlour Palm, a plant species of the Arecaceae family, is a great gift for plant lovers because it has bright green, shiny and lanceolate leaves with small yellow flowers borne on a branched stem.

Parlor palm is a slow grower and can take years to reach full height (2 to 6 feet indoors and 6 to 16 feet outdoors). This is an evergreen houseplant palm with an air-purifying and toxin-removing effect.

Its tiny yellow flowers are borne in terminal panicles, usually in the spring.

The Neanthe Bella Palm, with its graceful fronds and vibrant green color, is considered a lucky plant in Feng Shui. Its upward-growing nature symbolizes growth, prosperity, and positive energy flow. Placing a Bella Palm in your home can attract good fortune, improve air quality, and create a sense of harmony and tranquility.

For the Cow Pot Option - These pots are 100% biodegradable and plantable, crafted entirely from composted cow manure to nourish your soil as they disappear.

  •  Neanthe Bella Palms can be grown in different indoor lighting conditions, but it prefers medium to bright light (north or west-facing window) with ample airflow. Avoid harsh direct sunlight.

This plant needs soil that is lightly moist. Water when the top 1” - 2” inches of the soil are dry to the touch, likely once a week. Overwatering can cause root rot, while too dry soil can make the leaves brown and crispy.

This plant needs well-drained, porous potting soil and does not tolerate soil that retains water. Choose a mix soil for houseplants.

This plant thrives in temperatures of 65°F-80°F. Do not let it in a spot where the temperature can drop below 50°F.

This plant should be fertilized once during the growing season (spring/summer) with diluted houseplant fertilizer.

Parlour Palm is considered non-toxic and safe for pets.

democracy in action or am I allowed to vote
Format: Paperback
This is a superb document on the history of voting rights in America from its founding to 2000. Well worth reading about the struggles of Americans to get the vote. The discussion of suffrage for all Americans. How those that had the vote trying to prevent other people from getting the vote. We struggle with this today, given that President Drumpf is more than willing to disregard the majority of American voters. Our democracy beware and here is the history.

Incredibly well researched
Format: Paperback
Purchased in light of the current election fraud/security debates. I learned nothing so far is new. Data intensive. Can be dry at times, though many of the quotes from historical figures are revealing as to prevailing attitudes.

Excellent and thorough
This must be the definitive history of voting in America. I hold back from giving it five stars because it was a little more than what I was looking for, but this is as thorough as I have ever come across. Also, I love charts and graphs, and he has a great array of tables at the end. Interesting tidbit was the role war played throughout American history in expanding the right to vote. Also, though we all know how the right to vote gradually expanded, but what many of us didn't realize was how the right to vote actually shrunk at various points in American history. That is, some people who had the right to vote had it taken away at various moments in American history. When all is said and done, this is a great book.

read!
Format: Kindle
I had to read this book for a political theory class, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Keysarr did a great job of researching and writing it. It was not as dry as some of the other, similar books I've read. I would definitely recommend this one, even if it's not for a class.
