The Echeveria 'Vampire Red Ball' is a rare hybrid succulent characterized by thick, fleshy, and slightly roundish leaves that form a tight, "ball-like" rosette.
This is a modern hybrid developed in South Korea, a region famous for breeding high-color, compact succulent cultivars.
Its most unique feature is its "stress coloring." While many Echeverias have red tips, the 'Vampire Red Ball' can turn an almost solid, glowing crimson or deep burgundy when exposed to bright light and cool temperatures, living up to its "Vampire" name.
The flowers are typically bell-shaped or lantern-shaped, often appearing in vibrant shades of pink, coral, or orange-red with yellow interiors. These blooms provide a beautiful contrast to the dark red foliage and are highly attractive to pollinators like hummingbirds.
-
Needs bright, direct sunlight to maintain its deep red color.
Requires well-draining cactus or succulent mix. A blend of 50–70% mineral grit (perlite, pumice, or coarse sand) is ideal to prevent moisture retention.
Thrives in temperatures between 65°F and 80°F (18°C–27°C). It enjoys a slight temperature drop at night, which actually helps trigger its intense red "vampire" coloration.
Use the "soak and dry" method. Water deeply only when the soil is bone-dry. Avoid getting water in the center of the rosette, as this can cause rot.
Feed lightly once or twice during the growing season with a diluted, low-nitrogen fertilizer. Overfeeding can cause leggy growth and weaken the plant.
Like most Echeverias, it is non-toxic to cats, dogs, and horses, making it a pet-safe choice.

Three books in one....
Format: Paperback
This is a three books in one. Could You Survive The Cretaceous Period, Could You Survive The Jurassic Period, and Could You Survive The Ice Age? It’s a LOT of fun. The last book is, in fact, split into three stories. As you get to try to survive in North America, Europe, and Australia.
I enjoyed all the setting. Though I have to be honest I failed to return to the modern time from the Jurassic period. Trapped!!!! And…my friends in the book had a kid. I hope that does not destroy the timeline. But I enjoyed it. It reminded me a lot of the old Time Machine books.

They choose reading over screen time!
Format: Paperback
The nephews (10 & 8) love these kinds of books! I bought the prehistoric one as well and after they were done they swapped to continue their adventures! They're asking for more and choose the books over screen time! I'd say thats a win for the Aunt!
