Money Plant is an old-fashioned garden plant that is mostly grown for the silvery-white seed pods, resembling silver dollars, used in dried arrangements. Plants reseed readily and tolerate a variety of conditions. This biennial produces lavender to pink flowers and attracts long-tongued bees and butterflies.

Sowing: Direct sow Money Plant seeds in early fall, planting them just below the surface of the soil. For spring planting, mix the seeds with moist sand and store in the refrigerator for 60 days before planting; keep the soil lightly moist until germination. This seed can also be started indoors 6-8 weeks before planting in the spring. Plant two Honesty Plant seeds in each peat pot and keep the soil moist until germination.
