Prune new growth to obtain more bushy dahlia plants and deadhead often once flowering starts to obtain an increased number of blooms. Dahlia can be grown and propagated from seeds, tuberous roots and rooted cuttings. Dahlias are fast growers and one plant produces numerous flowers making them ideal to grow for cut flowers. Substantial composite flower heads are produced on leafy stems. The florets come in a vast array of colours encouraged by the ease of creating dahlia hybrids.
