- Blend the ingredients evenly through the potting volume; a base layer alone will not change how the root zone behaves.
- Use a higher mineral fraction for cooler rooms or larger pots, and a slightly higher organic share for very warm, fast-drying spots.
- Water fully, then allow a proper dry-down before watering again.
Small details
A good mix helps, but pot size and light still matter. Overpotting will keep even a mineral mix wet for too long.
