It lasts for weeks, and controls young root-eating grubs. A spring application will prevent damage from occurring later in the summer. For use in lawns, around house foundations, under shrubbery and other ornamental recreational turf grass areas. Kill-A-Bug II provides contact and residual control for up to four weeks. Provides control of armyworms, ants, ticks, chinch bugs, crickets, grasshoppers, sod webworms, spiders, scorpions, cockroaches, European crane fly larvae, and many other insects listed on the packaging. 20 pound bag.
When should it be used? Treatment timing is slightly different per insect, but it is most effective to treat when pests are young and first appear.
Where should it be used? How is it applied? Repeated applications are made by broadcast treatment with a spreader to lawns, under shrubbery, and other ornamental and turf grass areas; band treatments are recommended around house foundations, and spot applications are made to ant mounds and wasp nests.
What is the coverage area? For lawn insects: 2 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft. For fire ants: 1 cup over and 2 feet around each fire ant mound.
What is the active ingredient? Permethrin.
Is it safe for pets? After watered into turf and dry.
