Materials & Care
- The wood material can be damaged by moisture, so we recommend removing the base and filling/refilling the test tube with water separately and wiping away excess moisture before returning to the stand.
- Plastic test tubes come with some surface-level scratches that are not noticeable when filled with water and in use (if you know of a supplier for scratch-free plastic tubes let me know).
- These materials are lightweight and work best when used for smaller cuttings in a place where it will not be knocked over or blown over by wind.

I Smell Like a Gentleman Who Owns a Fireplace

My wife walked past me twenty minutes post-shower and said, unprompted, "You smell really good." I nodded like I had planned this.
The lather is genuinely rich; squeeze a modest amount and it blooms into a thick, creamy foam that covers everything efficiently. The texture is silky rather than watery, which matters more than people admit. Watery body washes feel like rinsing off with slightly scented regret. This one feels intentional. It cleans, and your skin actually feels clean afterward, not just rinsed. And the moisturizing? I wasn't expecting it. No greasy film, no lotion-begging dry patches by midday. Just quietly softer skin that doesn't make a big announcement about it.
Now, my honest gripe: the scent longevity has a ceiling. By mid-afternoon you're back to neutral. That's the gap between four stars and five for me. For daily freshness and an incredible morning window of smelling genuinely great, it absolutely delivers...but it won't carry you to bedtime.
