Affordable and Lightweight Hyaluronic Acid Serum

I absolutely love The Ordinary brand and own quite a few of their skincare products, so I was excited to add this hyaluronic acid serum to my routine. I use it after cleansing my face and before applying moisturizer, and it layers really nicely with the rest of my skincare. One of the things I appreciate most about this product is the packaging. The glass bottle feels high-quality, and the dropper makes application easy and convenient.
The serum itself is very lightweight, and a little bit goes a long way, so the bottle should last quite a while. It absorbs nicely into the skin without feeling greasy or sticky afterward. I also really appreciate the clean ingredients and the fact that there are no added perfumes or strong scents, which is important for my sensitive skin and overall preference for non-irritating skincare products.
As with most skincare products, I know it takes consistency and several months of use before you can truly judge long-term results and improvements in your skin. Because of that, I cannot fully speak yet on how effective it is overall, but so far I have been enjoying using it and have had no irritation or issues. For the affordable price point and quality ingredients, I think this is a great skincare product, and I plan to continue using it and update my review later on with long-term results.

Amazing product - instant smoothness

I've only had this product for the last several days, but, so far, it's AMAZING. I've tried hyaluronic products before, because everyone says that you are supposed to for moisture, but, honestly, I was always underwhelmed. They were thin and did nothing. So, despite this one having great reviews, I was not really expecting anything, but the price was right.
But this product....although liquid and clear, it's got a slight thickness to it, and spreads on very smooth. You only need a little bit to cover your entire face. Despite the slight thickness, it's not gooey or sticky at all, and it dries incredibly fast. In fact, if you don't spread it around onto your face quickly enough, it's already drying. There is no real smell to it. And, as soon as it dries onto your face, your skin feels incredibly smooth. Maybe it wouldn't if you had a significant dry skin problem to begin with, but for regular, maturing skin, it leaves skin baby smooth. And it lasts all day, and my skin looks better.
I have very sensitive skin, and most things on my face eventually make my eyes water (even gentle facial moisturizers and sunscreens), but, so far, I haven't had an issue, and, because it's been a few days already, maybe I won't. Doesn't really feel like I'm wearing anything, and isn't a problem if I want to layer it with something else. I do wash it off at night, and can tell that something is still on my face even at the end of the day because it's a little slippery when I wash it. So it has staying power.
For the price, I would definitely consider trying this product for moisturizing, and instantly smoother and softer skin.

plumping hydration with no greasiness or oiliness

Its featherweight and melds with the skin in an instant. It plumps without any residue or "slip" on the skin. I have normal skin that tends toward slight dehydration and I use adapalene and the Ordinary 2% Salicylic acid anhydrous for my sebaceous hyperplasia. Because of the sebaceous hyperplasia and the heat and extreme humidity where I live, I cannot use anything with oils or dimethicone or anything even remotely occlusive. This serum is a great way for me to get appropriate hydration without exacerbating those enlarged oil glands or making my face sticky and oily. I dont need my face sealed, a humectant like this pulls plenty of hydration into my skin and I dont lose it to the air because of the ambient humidity. Its pretty perfect for me. It also has kept my barrier intact while alternating the adapalene and salicylic acid. Its a huge bang for the buck, I mean the price point is unbeatable.
