This dress, worn by one of our customers with a tartan sash, won an award at the New Hampshire Highland Games for "Best Traditional Highland Dress - 1999".

This full-length dress is based on the style of the medieval kirtle but tailored to flatter the modern sensibilities. It is a great dress for casual days or sexy nights. This dress has lacing at the lower back for an adjustable waist. This garment is hand-screened with a permanent fabric ink dye to produce the knotwork. 

This style makes great bridesmaid dresses, handfasting dress or informal wedding dress. Lighter colors or specific colors for Brides / Bridal parties are also available by Special Order. 

Length: Comes approx. 54" to 56" in full length as standard.  Longer or shorter lengths are available by choosing the Height option desired. Let us know if you need a specific length. 

Fabric Options:  Currently available only in a machine washable, 100% cotton shirt-weight fabric. Alternately, it can be Special Ordered in a Linen/Cotton blend for a more rustic, home-spun look.  If you'd like fabric samples just drop us an email. Alternate fabric Cost will vary. 

Pockets Option: There will be a visible stitch line on the front side panel in order to keep the pocket secure. The pocket will be our standard deep style pocket, large enough to hold a 16 oz. water bottle.
