Pure Organic Ahimsa Silk

In today's world many have woken up to the concept of 'sustainable living'. One such fabric that supports sustainable environment is Ahimsa silk.

“Ahimsa” is a Sanskrit term meaning, “do no harm,” making it an appropriate namesake. Ahimsa silk, also known as “peace silk” is real silk from a silkworm; however, the worm is left unharmed when the threads are harvested from its cocoon. Instead of the typical silk production process, which involves boiling the cocoons to release the threads, the silk is harvested only after the moth has emerged from the cocoon. The moth is unharmed, and the threads are left free to be used by us. Silk – the material so soft it became an adjective. Not only is silk timelessly elegant, it also has flame retardant and antibacterial properties.

Our experience showed that customers keep coming back to our shop not only due to the exceptional design of the garments but also due the fabric. The fabric of the garments is so soft, comfy and breathable, they beg to be worn! Knowing the feeling of it on your skin might make it difficult to switch to something else!

It’s a solid balm stick, but it glides effortlessly without dragging or pulling on the skin, which is critical for more delicate, mature areas. It melts just enough on contact and leaves behind a smooth, lightweight, conditioned finish that feels nourishing without being greasy or heavy. From a formulation standpoint, this is built around silicones and emollients that give an immediate soft-focus effect, combined with oils and butters that help reinforce the moisture barrier. There’s also adenosine for long-term wrinkle support and collagen extract for conditioning, though this is not going to rebuild collagen or act like a corrective serum. What it does do extremely well is improve the appearance of the skin instantly. It softens fine lines, reduces that dry, crepey look that can show up midday, and adds just enough slip and hydration to make the skin look healthier and more refined. That dry, stretched sensation that I sometimes get from using other sunscreens was not something that I experienced with this one.
