The gray wool tie is the epitome of DLA style. It is classic, yet lightweight, versatile and distinctive. Wool is not only a material for fall and winter season ties. This particular piece is crafted from pure Italian summer suiting wool fabric and has a lovely texture. It’s a perfectly lightweight way to complete your office outfit

Mid grey wool tie with hand rolled edges

If you are looking for an ultimate business tie, look no further. A solid grey tie is a wardrobe staple every man must have: without it you simply can't claim to be well dressed.

The Story

Hand-cut from generous blocks of the finest Italian wool and made by hand step-by-step, the tie is soft and vibrant, easy and appropriate for wear throughout the year. This wool tie will keep you cool in summer and warm in winter. Untipped finishing and hand-rolled edges make it light and comfortable, and it wears beautifully for a restrained and elegant look.

How to wear a grey wool tie

This grey wool tie can be worn year round with all kinds of fabrics. It looks good paired with a white crisp shirt and unstructured Neapolitan blue suit, or a striped shirt and a soft flannel Glen Check sport coat.

Imagine a dark blue blazer, lightweight mid-gray wool slacks and striped spread collar oxford shirt: this wool tie is the perfect choice to complement that outfit. After the work day, swap the wool trousers for more casual denim and don an unstructured cotton sport coat. But don’t lose the tie. What you have is a sporty and casual, yet elegant and refined look for after-work drinks.

Best “business casual” outfit with grey wool tie:

  • Dark blue wool or cashmere blazer
  • Mid-gray wool trousers
  • Striped spread collar oxford shirt
  • Dark brown wingtip oxfords

Specifications:

  • Width: 8 cm (≈3.15 inches)
  • Length: 150 cm (≈59 inches)
  • Untipped
  • Handrolled Blades
  • 100% wool
  • Handmade in Italy

Material - Wool

DLA wool ties are made of a lightweight, four-season wool fabric that is extremely refined and exclusive, and produces an iridescent effect.

If you have thought that wool fabrics are made only for fall and winter seasons, think again. The light, yet intensely textured Italian wool that is used for DLA ties is perfect for combining with your business suits and navy blazers.

  • Our ties are crafted in Northern Italy by family business that has been making high quality neckwear for decades. All aspects of production are done inside the family-run factory, from cutting fabrics to tip making, stitching and finishing the ties.
  • DLA essential ties are made by using the classic, light and minimalistic three-fold construction and feature light interlining that helps the tie keep its shape, drape on the wearer, and shake out wrinkles after wear. The essential line is for them for who a good drape, beautiful knot and functionality are more important than the number of folds.
  • DLA ties are subtle yet refined. There are no striking brand tags or visible logos. We want you to love wearing them purely for the quality and feel they feature.

Shines a light on the reality of the War in the Pacific
Format: Audiobook
Well-written and it really laid out all of the details of how this battle unfolded. I listed to the audio-book, and it was helpful to have the PDF to see a map. How the soldiers on each side endured the battles in the Pacific Theater is beyond me. Man's inhumanity to man that result in this battle outlined here is depressing, but also the sacrifice of those called on to endure and suffer through that inhumanity is equally inspiring and humbling to those whose lives are so comfortable in comparison.

Good book
Format: Hardcover
If Ww2 interest u at all then u want to read this book. I have read the other books on this subject ( so why read another one?) well what i luv about this book is that because so much time has passed that most all of the people in this book are gone & so much more info has been released about these battles, that the combatants ( especially the higher officers are written about as if they are human (mistakes & warts & all) & not like they were all Bull Halsey type Gods which they were certainly not as in most all the books released within the 1st 30 yrs of the war. This makes for a much different & more interesting story about these battles than even the original books on the subject. You come to understand the where & whyfores better, by knowing the real true strenghts & weakness's & fears that drove these men. Hey they are all the bravest of heroes to me. But the were not perfect, & because of this, mistakes were made, that were really not acknowledged or maybe not even known about in early books on WW2

Great structure
Format: Paperback
I had to get the book for class, so did not exactly get it because I “wanted to.” It was a good read though. I liked the structure of each section. Everything simple enough to understand while also diving a bit deeper.

A must have for every intelligence professional - collector or analyst!
Format: Paperback
An excellent resource for any intelligence collector or analyst. The chapters are written by world-class experts in each discipline with an excellent final chapter on collection management written by Drs. Lowenthal and Clark. Each chapter defines the elements of the particular intelligence discipline, its history and producers, as well as how the INT is managed and explores likely future trends. An extensively researched and documented text that is nonetheless an approachable resource that would make an excellent addition to any intelligence related syllabus.
