This 60s cocktail dress is all business in the front and party in the back! Designed by Luis Estevez, a designer who was well known and loved among the Hollywood crowd in the 50s and 60s, it's a classic wiggle dress that features one of his signature details - a deep V back neckline. The front bodice has three tucks on each side of the bust, a high neckline, and is seamed to a wide satin waistband. The skirt mirrors those tucks and falls into a pencil silhouette. The sleeves are cut in one with the dress and are 3/4 length. The waist panel features a large buckle detail that closes over with hooks and eyes, and covers the metal zipper.

Luis Estevez had a glamorous career and life. He moved to New York City after studying architecture in his home country, and went on to study costume design at the Traphagan School of Fashion. After graduating, he travelled to Paris in 1951, where he interned for Jean Patou and befriended Hubert de Givenchy and Jacques Fath, as well as the French Vogue editor Francoise de Langlade. He returned to New York in 1952 and joined ready-to-wear company Pat Hartley. In 1955 he launched his own label Grenelle-Estevez, and one year later at the age of 26 he became the youngest designer to win the Coty Award. He designed a black dress based on the Portrait of Madame X which was featured in Life Magazine in 1960 and remains an iconic dress from his career.

He moved to Hollywood in 1965 and went on to design for high society socialites and actresses like Marlene Dietrich, Betty Ford, Grace Kelly, Natalie Wood, Nancy Reagan and Eva and Zsa Zsa Gabor. He was also designing costumes for Universal Studios, and in 1975 he met with Betty Ford and began designing a personal line of clothing for her which she wore throughout her time as First Lady.

His dresses are collectable and so beautifully crafted, to be treasured for many years to come as your own little slice of fashion history!

Good quality bags
I'm far from a professional coffee roaster, but I do enjoy it. I used to use just little plastic bags when giving coffee to friends and family, but these work so much better! They are quite thick and just feel like they're quality. I do not have a mylar sealer, but I did figure out that a vacuum heat sealer will work. Just gotta run the heat part a couple times. Probably not as good as a real mylar sealer, but it works. Again, I'm not professional. I like that, being black bags, they include a roll of labels. Hard to write on black, so this was a nice addition. Overall, these are great bags.

The valve allows for the release of carbon dioxide gas while preventing oxygen from entering the bag
Note that you will need a heat sealer to seal these bags. The high-barrier aluminum foil construction of these bags provides excellent protection against moisture, oxygen, and light, which are the primary factors that can degrade the quality and freshness of coffee beans. The side zipper design and heat sealable feature ensure a tight seal, effectively preventing any air from entering or escaping the bag. The inclusion of a valve allows for the release of carbon dioxide gas while preventing oxygen from entering the bag, further preserving the flavor and aroma of the coffee beans. These bags are really great for storing coffee.

Nice design, easy to pour, smooth coffee.
This is a really great design. We've been using this since July of 2024 and it's come in really handy for daily coffee making. Much smoother than a drip machine, and less coffee is needed. This starts the journey coffee making artisans.

Just the perfect size!
Love the size of the carafe. Smaller than expected but that was what I was hoping for. A good 2½ to 3 cups full. Looks modern and Chic and blends in with all the other stainless steel appliances in my kitchen.

It's nice, but the glass is super thin
Everything about this is built really well, except the glass. I'll get into the glass at the end of this, so stick with me. The stand is real heavy and overbuilt if you ask me, but that makes it super stable. The rubber mat on the bottom is a nice touch. The rubber that holds the metal cone on the stand keeps it stable too. The cone works great with #4 coffee filters (I've got a mess of them). They're a bit big but they still fit. I actually use it a lot of times without the stand because I weigh my water as I add it. The cone fits nicely right in the top of the glass. The glass though. It's SUPER thin. I've had a Chemex knock-off that was slightly thicker than this break just from setting it on the counter wrong. I'm just waiting for this thing to shatter on me for no reason. This would be a great unit if that glass wasn't so thin.
