Silver Nitrate Sticks for Cauterization work by burning and sealing the tissue. It is a quick, effective way to stop bleeding and is often used in first aid. Silver nitrate sticks are also used in the medical field to cauterize wounds. The sticks are heated until they are red hot and then applied to the wound. The heat from the stick seals the blood vessels and stops the bleeding.
