This vintage Gianni Versace couture dress is in a gorgeous lavender silk jersey. A light blue variation of this dress from Donatella Versace's Spring/Summer 2000 collection was worn by Naomi Campbell on the runway.
The bodice of this fabulous dress has a built-in bustier that ends around the top of the hips and the bust is structured with vertical knife pleats. One side of the bust has boning along the side. The waist of this dress has horizontal draping pleats that wrap around the back and the skirt has two side vent slits. There are double straps; one pair are traditional shoulder straps and there are additional halter style straps that are connected in back with a hook and eye.
This is a versatile dress that can be dressed up for the evening or worn as a day dress! A great piece to add to any modern wardrobe!
