Discover the charm of the 1960s with our exclusive Mid-century Modern dresser, a testament to the renowned craftsmanship of American of Martinsville. This piece embodies the essence of vintage elegance, masterfully constructed from high-quality walnut. Its unique design seamlessly blends the quintessential American MCM style with elements of Danish Modern, creating a versatile and timeless piece. The dresser boasts ample storage capacity, featuring deep drawers that are perfect for organizing various items. The top section of the dresser cleverly conceals three drawers behind two elegantly folding doors, each adorned with a round brass knob, adding a touch of subtle Asian influence to its minimalist design. The lower section includes two more drawers, showcasing rectangular cut-outs as handles, a homage to the Danish Modern influence prevalent in the United States during the 1960s.

The beauty of the walnut used in this dresser is a highlight, carefully selected to showcase rich vertical graining on the top and contrasting horizontal graining on the bottom. This minimalist approach allows the natural beauty of the wood to shine, making it a stunning centerpiece in any room. The dresser's design is elevated by its slightly splayed legs and a striking stretcher, enhancing its overall aesthetic appeal. Beyond its aesthetic allure, this dresser is incredibly functional and adaptable, fitting seamlessly into various spaces like hallways for blanket storage, children's rooms for organizing clothes, books, and toys, or even as a statement piece in a living area. Crafted with the enduring quality of traditional American craftsmanship, this dresser is not just a piece of furniture, but a durable, stylish investment that promises to enhance your home for decades to come.

2 for 1!
Two iterations of an Ernest Hemingway classic short story. Burt Lancaster kicks it off with the 1946 version followed by the Lee Marvin led 1964 version. Both are great and plenty of criterion extras making this among my favorite spine in their awesome collection. There’s also a Russian student take on the short story adding a third version of a great story. Highly recommended and if it’s 50% a must buy. I already owned it and gave this as a gift who instantly called me two days later with high praise of the films.

A Favorite All-Time Classic
I've always enjoyed this classic film. Ava Gardner is my favorite all-time actress. She's great in the role of Kitty. Burt Lancaster is also fine as the torn man in love with a woman he struggles to have. This is based on one of Hemingway's short stories, and they did a fine job. Same with the remake in 1964 with Lee Marvin and Clu Gulagher. You will not be disappointed in either version, but my favorite is the orignal.

1 Ernest Hemingway story, 2 different movie takes, very cool.
I like value. Two movie versions of a cool story for the price of one, I am in. The Burt Lancaster version is film noir cool, while the Lee Marvin has that manic 60’s television feel. The Lee Marvin version gets bonus for Ronald Reagan’s portrayal of the heavy. He is quite menacing.
