Recommended Fabrics: Light weight woven metallics, brocade, taffeta, sequin fabrics, cotton velveteen, novelty cottons and plaids for dress. Cotton broadcloth, lawn, or batiste for lining. Tulle or novelty netting for shoulder ruffles.
Supplies Needed:
• 1/4 yard fashion fabric
• 1/4 yard lining fabric
• Matching thread
• 4 snaps or 4” hook and loop tape
OPTIONAL ITEMS:
• 1/2 yard of 5/8" - 1" wide ribbon - for bow
• 1/4 yard tulle or netting - for shoulder ruffles
• Liquid Seam Sealant - to prevent ribbon fraying
Other supplies, as needed: tissue paper for difficult to handle fabrics, press cloth, ruler, sewing machine, scissors, pins, ruler, fabric marker, denim or jeans sewing machine needle (if sewing sequin fabric), liquid seam sealant (for ribbon)
