Designed by Matt Hoopes, and Jon Ashley of Bondi Effects, the 1981 Inventions DRV pedal is a RAT-inspired pedal, featuring one distortion circuit and one preamp boost circuit, packed into a sleek steel enclosure. Sounding more like a vintage pedal than a unique modification of a classic, the 1981 DRV pedal is warm and responsive, capable of a variety of textures, especially in its lower gain section.

This pedal does not use batteries, it uses a 9 Volt, DC, Center-Negative, 2.1mm plug power supply (like most all guitar pedals use). Use of a power supply higher than 9 volts can damage the pedal.
