Make sure you select the correct sized unicycle to suit the intended rider, as a unicycle that is too big will be almost impossible to ride (you need to be able to reach the pedals!), and a unicycle that is too small makes gaining forward momentum much harder than it should be.

Unicycles with 18 inch wheels are suitable for indoor riding or for use on smooth outdoor surfaces with minimal obstructions.
