The Laurentii Snake Plant (Sansevieria trifasciata laurentii) is a very low-maintenance plant that is so hardy that people often joke about them being almost impossible to kill.

The indestructible houseplant sports stiff, vertical, glossy, striped foliage in different shades of green. The foliage of this snake plant stands out from its Sansevieria cultivar through bold yellow stripes that line the edge of each leaf.

Ideal care for the Laurentii plant includes a bright indirect light and infrequent watering. However, this low maintenance plant grows in less-than-ideal conditions without a sweat. The hardy Sansevieria will accept a wide range of light conditions including full sun or no sun conditions. As an added bonus, these succulent-like plants don't mind extended periods of drought.

We recommend planting your snake in a pot with drainage holes and allowing the soil to dry in between waterings for optimal growth. Additionally, be sure to pot your houseplant in a well draining potting mix! In the growing seasons of spring and summer, it is encouraged that you apply a well balanced fertilizer to your plant.

Also nicknamed the mother in law's tongue, Snake Plant Laurentiis are praised for their air purifying abilities. UPDATE: 4 months later ... I sleep with this blanket every night. It is soft, warm and comfortable. It has held up well through multiple wash cycles with no fading, unravelling seams or matting. ORIGINAL: I'm a sucker for this type of pattern (hot pink leopard), so I knew I had to have this throw blanket. When I opened the package, I felt a bit let down because the back of the blanket is solid white, which I hadn't noticed in the ad until after I placed my order. It had a faint factory smell, so I thew it in the wash. I was slightly concerned the hot pink color might bleed, but that was not a problem. It washed and dried easily, just as I expected. It definitely feels and looks cozier and fluffier after being laundered. Although, you can more easily tell that the hot pink cheetah pattern is just printed on the blanket, particularly when folding over the darker areas. It still looks cute and will keep me warm, but it may not become my favorite blanket as I initially thought it might be. I also think the price could be a bit lower considering the pattern is just printed on white fabric. There were also already a few loose threads at the ends.
