The frame has front and rear eyelets which make it easy to attache full fenders, and/or bag racks (it already has a rear rack which is handy for the city).

Four nice upgrades on the bicycle are: rock-solid Tektro R539 brake callipers with Tektro RL720 levers, which brings modern stopping power to a vintage bike. Schwalbe 28-622 tires are larger and have more tread than what is typically found on bikes from this era, which improves overall ride comfort. A modern and all-rounder Selle Royal saddle adds to the improved comfort. A new stem with a decent amount of reach - this overcomes the problems normally felt on Mixte frames where the handlebars are very close to the rider's knees.
