This is a striking 19th-century majolica cache pot signed by Delphin Massier, Vallauris, a renowned figure of the French ceramic movement during the Belle Époque. The piece is decorated in high relief with a bold and sculptural thistle motif, featuring richly glazed leaves and blossoms in naturalistic tones of green, lilac, and ochre. The three handles are masterfully formed as curling thistle leaves, their organic lines blending seamlessly into the vessel’s flowing contours. The body is gently flared and rests on an elegant tripod base with soft scrolling feet, glazed in a blush pink that rises and fades into the creamy background.
